happenings in February

The wood floors and trim wood arrived the first of the month!  Very exciting and half way through the month the tarps came down and we saw the rock on the entire home!  Beautiful.  I thought they were suppose to round it over the windows... but it is growing on me.  We didn't see it, because of the tarps, until after the mortar was on.

I can't believe in a week they had the trim, stairs and closets on the main and upstairs floor done.  Our master closet, which is so awesome!  Loven it!  Even a bit of tile in the basement had been started.

rock, dark morter

Last wednesday they put a dark morter on a section of rock, but I thought it was too dark.  But this is what the rock was looking like under the tarps.

doors and rock

Grant helped Eric pick up half of our BEAUTIFUL wood doors last Friday, after all the snow Thursday.  They are so lovely.  Then I looked out the window to see rust rock on my house!  Ack, there was no orange or rust rock in the sample or at the show room.  Eric had them stop and we met the next day to go over what it was to look like.  Tyler came out also and wasn't sure why one pallet had all this rust rock on top.  And instead of mixing all three pallets they had only been mixing two of the three types of rock.  Whew!  There are supose to be dark greys in there and some browns and not all long light grey pieces.  The guys pulled the rust off, but as of today the rest is still there...  Some can stay, but it needs a little better mix still.  Monday they started working on rocking the front and I guess will work their way around to this back spot.

flashing passed inspection a couple weeks ago, so we have the go ahead to start rocking and putting up hardy board!

sheet rock almost done, last week of January

Becky's house

My friend is building also and we found we are doing some similar colors and looks.  It has been really enjoyable to chat with her about choices and ideas!  Grant had a track meet at BYU a few weeks ago and I was able to go and walk through her home, it's looking so beautiful.  Love the rock.

Last week these were a couple random shots of Shelly's boy, while we were touring the house and Grant cleaning, or something like that, last Saturday.
